Patna: Pappu Yadav alias Rajesh Rajan has been expelled from the Rashtriya Janata Dal party (RJD) for six years. The party has sacked Pappu Yadav for his anti-party activities. He has been issuing statement against the party and was opposed the RJD joining the Janata Parivar. He was served show cause notice and asked to respons within 15 days. The notice was issued by national general secretary of the RJD Ramdeo Bhandari. Pappu Yadav is a RJD rebel and member of parliament from Madhepura while his wife Ranjit Ranjan is Congress MP from Supaul.

Pappu Yadav had raked controversy when he first time said publicly that he will succeed Lalu Prasad Yadav as the RJD chief. Lalu Prasad rejected his claims and said, “Pappu Yadav is not my son. In Indian culture, only a son succeeds his father,” the former Bihar chief minister told a public meeting at Sasaram in Rohtas district. After me, my son will succeed me in the RJD instead of Pappu Yadav.”
