Security forces on Saturday had apprehended two NDFB(S) over ground workers in Assam\'s Chirang district, officials said.Defence spokesman based in Guwahati said that, in a joint operation launched by army and police had nabbed a over ground worker of the outfit identified as Chakra Brahma from Kusumdish area in the BTAD district.

"The apprehended individual has been actively supporting NDFB(S) terrorists. He has confessed on providing food, ration and guiding to 35-40 terrorists across Al river in Chirang district, who were on the run after their major camp was busted by security forces in Kokrajhar district on May 7. He also confessed of being paid Rs 5000 by Birbai, a hardcore NDFB(S) militant for this assistance, " the defence spokesman said.
In separate operation, security forces had apprehended another over ground worker of the outfit group, Thepa Basumutary from Burijhar area in the district.
Chirang police said that, Thepa was involved in extortion money from local people.
