New Delhi: The National Panthers Party (NPP) on Thursday slammed Pakistan for raising the Kashmir issue at the UN Security Council, and said that India is under no threat from this move.
"India is under no threat with Pakistan raising the Kashmir issue in UN because the basic resolution of UN dated Aug 13, 1948 states that Pakistan should return the land illegally in Jammu and Kashmir which also includes the part they have given to China," NPP Chief, Bhim Singh told ANI here.
Singh attacked Pakistan for its frustration with the NSA-level talks going ahead saying, "they have two parallel governments working pole apart, one under the ISI working along with the Pakistan Army and the other is of Nawaz Sharif".
Pakistan had earlier raised the Kashmir issue at the UN Security Council, seeking mediation from the world body and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to resolve the issue before the NSA-level talks on August 23 in New Delhi.
