No New Year celebrations for these ministers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a workaholic. He has not taken leave even for a day. While Rahul Gandhi is off on a foreign tour on New Year eve, Modi is working in his office. Not just that, he has asked all his ministers to work on New Year Day. Ministers like Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Sadananda Gowda and Venkaiah Naidu will work on the first week of the New Year, while ministers like Smriti Irani, Nitin Gadkari have shortened their holidays.

Several chief ministers like Shivraj Singh Chouhan of MP, Devendra Fadnavis of Maharashtra have shortened their leave. Haryana and Jharkhand CMs also are not celebrating New Year. All these ministers have been told to work on the first week of the new year.
Last year, some Central Ministers attended corporate New Year bashes, which Modi did not like. This year, he has strictly instructed the ministers not to attend parties of Corporate biggies.
