Gurdaspur: Security agencies are once again on their toes after two civilians reported seeing two suspected people in an area around Tibri cantonment in Gurdaspur district on Wednesday.

According to sources, two locals who were on way to their house spotted the two suspects hiding in a sugarcane field near village Pandher which is close to the Tibri cantonment.

In their statement given to the police, the civilians informed that the two unidentified people were in Army outfit, wearing black glasses and were heavily armed.

Deputy Inspector General, Border Zone, Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh said they had received the information following which the area has been cordoned off.

"We don't know if it is a rumour or a true account, but we are taking it as a true report and are doing our duty, we have begun our operation," deputy inspector general, Border Zone, Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh said.

He said the report was that two suspected people were seen in a village near Tibri cantonment. "We have sealed the area and started search operations," he said.
