The Congress today registered complaint with the Election Commission of India against senior Kolkata officials, including the Commissioner of Police, the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police of Birbhum and Murshidabad Districts, besides the District Magistrate of Burdwan, accusing them of acting at the behest of ruling TMC government in West Bengal.

New Delhi : The Congress today registered complaint with the Election Commission of India against senior Kolkata officials, including the Commissioner of Police, the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police of Birbhum and Murshidabad Districts, besides the District Magistrate of Burdwan, accusing them of acting at the behest of ruling TMC government in West Bengal.

Talking to reporters after meeting Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi here, party leader B K Hariprasad said the EC has said that it will look into complaint and accordingly probe the matter.

He said his party has demanded that the officials should be transferred from their present postings and may not be posted for election duty.
