Sahara Group staffers based in Rai Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, today paid their respects to their chairman, Subroto Roy, who was on his way to Allahabad to immerse the ashes of his late mother.

Roy's mother Chhabi Roy passed away last week from old age-related illnesses. She was over 90 years of age.
Later on reaching Allahabad, the Roy family and Sahara Group employees gathered at the K.P. College grounds from where the procession began towards the Boat Club. Thereafter, the Roy family took the urn containing the ashes of Chhabi Roy in a motor boat and immersed them at the historically regarded Triveni Sangam or the confluence of the three major rivers - Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati.
