Congress party's chief ministerial candidate for Uttar Pradesh Sheila Dikshit returned to the capital on Saturday after a few hours of the campaign in the state owing to throat infection.

Ms Dikshit said that she would resume her campaign today.

The Congress on Saturday morning launched its campaign "27SaalUPBehal Yatra" for the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh with a three-day bus yatra.

"Enthusiastic response to the #27SaalUPBehal Yatra. Owing to a throat infection, I have taken a break. Will resume tomorrow," Dikshit tweeted.

The bus yatra was flagged off from the Congress headquarters in the capital by party President Sonia Gandhi and Vice-President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday morning.

Earlier in the day, Dikshit tweeted: "As we start our #27SaalUPBehal Yatra, I seek your support and blessings." This was her first ever tweet ever since she joined Twitter three years back.

The others in the yatra, Congress general secretary in-charge of UP Ghulam Nabi Azad and UP Congress chief Raj Babbar, are continuing with the yatra.
