Rajnath Singh spoke to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday assuring him that the issues concerning the state would soon be addressed and not to take up any extreme steps.

The TD Parliamentary Party (TDPP) has already decided to bring on protests on the floor of the House from Monday in the form of placards and slogans surrounding the Speaker’s podium.

The members are set to launch silent protests in front of the Gandhi statue at Parliament

Chandrababu in the three-hour TDPP meeting on Sunday expressed his displeasure strongly on the Budget allocation for AP where it was even indicated the TDP reviewing its alliance with the BJP.

The Chief Minister asserted that it was time to raise their voices as it is their responsibility to protect the interests of the state.

Chandrababu, however, said it was necessary to take time as the state requires Central support being newly born but added that he is not scared of cases being filed against him as is charged by the Opposition, instead his main concern is only the interests of AP.

Union minister YS Chowdary briefed the meeting where he made it clear that TDP has no intention of breaking alliance with BJP but the Centre must be pressurised for allocations.

He further shared that Rajnath Singh had intimated that BJP Chief Amit Shah was planning to speak with Chandrababu Naidu.
