Karnataka: Is the D Day for Karnataka. This day will decide who would rule Karnataka for the next five years. The people’s verdict expressed by the pressing of a button is now safely stored in the EVMs. Exactly at 8 AM, the counting will begin for all the 222 seats.

This counting will decide the fate of 2640 candidates. The results are expected to be out by 1 PM and the form and shape of the next government will be clear by that time.

The election has been postponed in Jayanagar assembly constituency, where the BJP candidate died during the campaigning. The election in Rajarajeswari Nagar assembly constituency has been countermanded in view of the large-scale irregularities and the unearthing of over 10000 ID cards in a building.
