Warden bashes students, vents ire at media

BC Welfare Hostel not serving food as per menu, allege students Nellore: Alluru Backward Class Girls Welfare Hostel warden Kavita vented ire at the media when they went to expose her ill treatment towards hostel inmates on Tuesday. It is learnt that she was ill treating the students and at the same time was not providing the mandatory nutritious food to them.A She allegedly was not giving milk, eggs and banana, which were prescribed in the menu, but reportedly was showing in the record that the menu was being offered to the students. In reality, students alleged that she was providing nutritious food once in a week. When the students questioned the warden about not being served good food, she bashed them up. A She also threatened the students with dire consequences if they revealed it to the media. On a tip-off, the media went to the hostel, and when the students were pouring out their woes to the journalists, she threatened the media and the students with dire consequences saying that she enjoys clout with the higher officials and local people. Surprised over her attitude, the media brought this incident to the notice of Nellore District BC Welfare Officer Sanjeeva Rao. In turn, he said that already he had ordered an inquiry against Kavita. An officer of Assistant Social Welfare Officer rank was appointed as an inquiry officer.
