Hyderabad: After the tragic death incident of Sunanda, now there is a grapevine that has been making rounds in the political corners of India. Will Sunanda’s death tie a knot on Shashi Tharoor’s throat giving an end to his political career? Will the autopsy report of Sunanda become a reason for the end of Sahshsi Tharoor’s political career? Many such doubts pose in the minds of the people in nooks and corners of India.
On January 15, Shashi Tharoor and Sunanda Pushkar left for New Delhi from Thiruvanantapuram. It is learnt that Manish Tewari, another prominent leader of Congress Party was in the same flight and co-travelled up to New Delhi. Further, Sunanda was learnt weaping inside the flight for her entire journey. According to the sources, she went out from Palem airport carrying tears in her eyes. While Shashi went to their residence, reportedly, Sunanda went to the hotel directly.
Based on the bruises over the body of Sunanda, reportedly, there was a duel between the two on January 16. Speculatively, the arguments might have last till early hours on January 17. According to the sources, Sunanda made a call to one of her close friends, Nalini Singh at about 12 p.m. on January 17 and expressed her grief over some issue. The only clue now the investigating team has with them is to find out what conversation went between Sunanda and her friend.
From the other side, Shashi Tharoor has become watchful with the ongoing canards and has been stating that he had no concern with Sunanda’s death and had even written a letter to Shinde, the union home minister. Shashi had even urged Shinde to hasten the probe. Later, Tharoor had even recorded a statement with a special magistrate on the very matter.
According to the political analysts, the Bharatiya Janata Party found another weapon in their inventory in the form Sunanda Pushkar. Reportedly, they are going to use this episode for their political campaign. Whether the autopsy report may or may not favour Shashi. But, for sure it will shut down the doors to his political careers.
The forensic report claims over dosage of the drug as the reason for Sunanda’s death. However, the way the medicos of AIIMS sought two days time to finalize the autopsy report becomes the cause of concern for many.
