It’s our duty to resist anti-India voices 

BJP simply has no reason to indulge in diversionary tactics in reference to the ongoing issue of anti-national expression at JNU and Rohith Vemula suicide at UOH.

In fact these issues raised by utterly desperate opposition parties suit us quite well to expose their vicious agenda, anti-national spirit, opportunist & divisive politics.

Very evidently, the BJP government is on the offensive and opposition parties are on back foot in the current parliament session. Almost all the parties along with Congress were forced to condemn the anti-national tirade by a few rogue students on the JNU campus.

Their twisted plot to corner BJP on freedom of speech turned into a self goal. They had to tow the line of nationalism, which certainly is not their natural ideology.

Union Minister for HRD Smriti Irani, Union Minister for Finance Arun Jaitley, Union Minister for Home Rajnath Singh and MP Anurag Thakur, with their focused speeches, exposed the ugly face of Congress which suppressed history for decades, to hide their legacy of physically dividing this nation on religious lines in 1947 partition.

Today, the same national party which has been reduced to mere 44 seats in the parliament is again viciously designing to plot further balkanisation of this nation, for their sheer political relevance and survival. Vote bank politics is neither BJP’s necessity nor its forte.

However, for Congress and all other regional parties, it’s their only central ideology and life line. BJP is the only legitimate national party in true spirit & letter of that term. Nation first & integral humanism is what drives the party from the bottom up.

One can destroy a nation, by simply destroying its cultural and national identity. For centuries many foreign powers, big & small, invaded India and looted its wealth. They couldn’t destroy India, as most invaders didn’t attack the cultural identity of his nation. Those who did try didn’t succeed.

Unfortunately this time around, the invasion on India with a clear intent to destroy it is not from a foreign power but from within. BJP is the only political formation which has both intention & capability to protect this nation from disintegrating on the lines of caste & religion, from the vested political forces of this country.

If BJP is raising issues like the attacks on this nation’s majority religion, its faith, its customs and idols, it’s only to protect the centuries-old cultural fabric & identity of this nation. BJP will certainly raise the same, if there were pointed attacks on others, too.

Our concern and conviction is led by our inherent quest to protect the national integrity, unlike the deviant, petty & selfish intent of Congress & other opposition parties in India. (The writer is a Spokesperson of BJP, an Organisation Strategist and an author)
