The series of events that had lead to the cancellation of by-poll in RK Nagar constituency in Chennai which was represented by late Amma J Jayalalithaa has brought shame and humiliation not only to entire Tamil Nadu but to the her party as well. Although through investigation only may reveal the ground truth, but the indications are clear and clearly pointing towards the ruling faction of AIADMK for the above cauldron.
The acute necessity of the ruling faction of AIADMK to win the by-poll using the Tirumangalam formula perfected by the other Drawidian party has come handy for the ruling dispensation. The spirited competition of several political forces to bribe people of RK Nagar has not just exposed the shameful state of affairs in Tamil Nadu but how the present political system has corrupted the entire state.
Poverty, lack of awareness, the gullibility and greed of people had easily allowed the people to sell their vote. The question is can we justify by citing all such changeling reasons for following corrupt practices and vote for money to continue? Certainly we cannot but at the same time we also must remember the ground truth that the Drawidian rule over several decades only has made the state to be so. The big question is should we allow the same drawidian rule to continue or we should invite the people like Gangai Amaran to come to the forefront to lead the state. Gangai Amaran has risen to the noticeable position from penury through hard work. Today Gangai Amaran represent a value system, a political force that fight corruption, pseudo-secularism, dynasty and reductionist identity and linguistic patriotism based politics.
Many leaders like Periyar, Anna, Kamarajar, Bharathi etc., worked hard to awaken people of the state but unfortunately most of those who used the name of all those leaders tirelessly working to put the people of Tamil Nadu to deep sleep. They invoked the linguistic pride and identity to divert the people.
Even today some people half-heartedly admit that they choose DMK because they do not have any other option! The sad situation is that the people of Tamil Nadu do not have the best to choose but are left with bad just to avoid the worst.
Time is up for people of Tamil Nadu to reform the political system. Such reformation is possible only if the people start to think differently than going after either of the Drawidian parties. Many people expressed not just their anger against the present Government but have pledged that they would reserve all such anger until next election to end the political life of all those characterless politicians.
Some even wished the actors like Kamal Hassan or Rajanikanth must float a force or must join Modiji to save Tamil Nadu. Many confirm that all those actors will not be corrupt and will not ruin the state.
It is the duty of every conscious citizen of Tamil Nadu from all walks of life to awaken the society to rebuild a new Tamil Nadu from shame and shambles. A new political force is inevitable and not the repetition of past i.e. either of the Drawidian party would rule the state.
Many people in TN even feel that all those ministers in the Government who are suspected to be involved in bribing voters must be made to resign and if they are unwilling to do so, the Government may be dismissed.
Asking all those from the Government to step aside until the investigation is completed is a fair demand. Anyway Mr. Edapadi Pallanisamy would have to resign if the election was held and if TKV Dhinakaran wins. So removing a few ministers including the present CM from office until the investigation is over is not an undue expectation.
Many in the Government may by repenting for not joining OPS and instead they rallied behind wealth and power by breaching all values. OPS has kept his political image clean by opting to fight the families and dynasty that have ruined and waiting to ruin the state. Hope people of Tamil Nadu will choose the best and not the bad because it is not worst.
Already Tamil Nadu is suffering from severe drought and scorching heat therefore Tamil Nadu don’t want sun and cannot afford also. Let the lotus flower blossom in Tamil Nadu so the state will no need to suffer from scorching sun or see the lifeless branch with dried leaves.
