Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will hold a day-long brainstorming conference with all 31 district collectors on April 10 (Monday) at Pragathi Bhavan to finalise deadlines and fix targets for each Collector in the implementation of developmental and welfare programmes in their respective districts.

Holding a video conference from the Secretariat, State Chief Secretary SP Singh instructed all collectors to attend the conference well prepared with all information regarding the status of irrigation projects, hurdles in land acquirement, fishing activity in the revived water bodies, sheep rearing, distribution of KCR kits, implementation of single woman pension scheme, progress in Mission Bhagiratha and drinking water supply this summer.

The Chief Secretary asked the Collectors to speed up land acquisition as the delay in the completion of the projects would escalate the project costs abnormally and put heavy burden on the state exchequer. He said the KCR kits would be supplied to all the districts by April 25 and asked them to ensure the distribution of the kits transparently in all local government hospitals.

Singh also inquired about the progress in the sheep distribution scheme and instructed the officials to identify the beneficiaries by completing the survey within two weeks. They have been told to scout for suitable forest lands to create grazing points for sheep rearing.
