Srinivasa Mangapuram: Pushpa Yagam was conducted amidst religious fervour at Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple in Srinivasa Mangapuram on Friday. Generally, this utsavam will be conducted on Sravana Nakshatram (the day of birth star of Lord Venkateswara). Similarly, the significance of this utsavam is to pray to God to save the mankind from natural calamities such as cyclones, famine, earth quake.
Nearly six tonnes, including 18 kinds of flowers, are used in the Pushpa Yagam. Earlier, Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed to the processional deities of Lord Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy and His Consorts at Kalyana Mandapam on the temple premises. Later, Unjal Seva and Veedi Utsavam were conducted to the Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy.
TTD Executive Officer LV Subramanyam, TTD Joint Executive Officer P Venkatarami Reddy, CVSO GVG Ashok Kumar, Deputy EOs Munirathram Reddy, Reddamma, Gopalakrishna, AEO Lakshman Naik, Nanda Gopal, Arjitham Inspector and a large number of devotees took part in this utsavam.
