Three-year old girl killed in accident

Vijayawada: A three-year old girl, Gurram Kavya, was killed on the spot when a school bus hit her in the city on Friday. According to the police, Kavya who was playing on the road in front of her house at Kummaripalem Karakatta was hit by the bus. On coming to know of the incident, the girl's parents, Ramalingeswara Rao and Krishnamma, were shocked.

The bus driver, Venkateswara Rao, a retired employee of the Municipal Corporation, stopped the bus and surrendered to the police. The One Town police booked a case and investigation was on. Kavya was the youngest daughter of Ramalingeswara Rao, who is an autorickshaw driver.
