Garvit Batra and Sneha Devi S Reddy kept tryst with destiny by taking the boys and girls singles titles respectively. However, they survived some anxious moments before winning the hard-fought battles. Batra was stretched by the tenth seeded Hardeep Singh Sandhu before winning the clash in three sets. Sneha Reddy was given a tough fight by second seed Pranjala Yadlapalli before she accomplished a rare double after Friday’s doubles success.
Results-All Under-18 finals-Boys: Garvit Batra (1) bt Hardeep Singh Sandhu (10) 6-1, 3-6, 6-0; Girls: Sneha Devi S Reddy (1) bt Pranjala Yadlapalli (2) 6-0, 5-7, 6-4.
