Earlier, on a sunny morning, the host began the day at 75 for two wickets. Overnight batsman, P Akshath Reddy, was in good nick and waged a lone battle to not only make 101 but, despite the absence of any formidable support from the other end, also ensured that the team reached a respectable 207. Unfortunately, by then the visitors were on the verge of taking the coveted cup.

In their second innings, India Cements made 37 for the loss Baba Aprajit’s wicket before play was called-off. In a welcome gesture, B Sandeep was gifted a bat in recognition of the three centuries he scored for the host in the championship.

Later, Zaheer Abbas, President of International Cricket Council (ICC) gave away the awards. Retired cricketers SMH Kirmani and VVS Laxman, HCA President and Secretary, Arshad Ayub and K John Manoj, were also present on the occasion.

Brief scores-Final: India Cements 299 and 37 for one wicket drew with Hyderabad XI 207 (P Akshath Reddy 101, L Balaji 3/39, L Vignesh 3/83).
