Go Green Cricket Cup is being jointly hosted by Pollution Control Board (PCB) of Telangana, Vajra Events and Famous Premier League (FPL) at Lal Bahadur Stadium here on Sunday.
Hyderabad: Here is the latest entrant to the clean and green drive. This time the message is being spread with cricket as the promotional vehicle. Go Green Cricket Cup is being jointly hosted by Pollution Control Board (PCB) of Telangana, Vajra Events and Famous Premier League (FPL) at Lal Bahadur Stadium here on Sunday.
The T20 match, which is to be spiced up with live show by small screen celebrities, will be played between FPL and PCB. To be played more as a social responsibility endeavour to spread consciousness among the people, the players will mostly be from the world of television.
According to Raghu, Member, PCB said that the Go Green Cricket Cup will be the launch pad for the quest to make Telangana a Green State. Towards this, around 5000 free saplings will be presented to the guests and the spectators.
Ravi Reddy, CMD, FPL, said that to spice up the event for the audience, stars will perform during a entertainment event that will be anchored by Lohit and Monica. Award winning television actor-producer will field a playing XI comprising of small screen actors, including those from Serial Artists
