Telugu trio tops in Chess Challenger

On the conclusion of the tournament on Tuesday, International Master S Ravi Teja of Tenali clinched the top honours after aggregating 10 points from 13 rounds.
Dhulipala Balachandra Prasad of Ponnuru in Guntur district and Fide-Master K Praneet Surya of Hyderabad tied for second place with 9.5 points. In the tie-break, Prasad finished second place. They have qualified for National ‘A’ Championship to be held at Lucknow from November 15 to 19.
