New Delhi: Telangana State players Sindhu Janagam and Y Sai Dedeepya progressed into the next round of different events in the Fenesta Nationals Open Tournament here on Tuesday.
Dedeepya entered the singles pre-quarterfinals after defeating Sonashe of Karnataka 6-1,6-4. She next takes on Maharashtra girl Prerna Vichare, Meanwhile, Sindhu and M Arthi from Tamil Nadu had an easy 6-4, 6-0 win over Adirija Biswas and Aviska Gupta in the doubles cometition. The duo runs into the top seeded Sweeta Rana and Sneha Devi Reddy for a place in the semifinals.
