Odense: Olympic medalists PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal will be leading a strong Indian challenge this time at the Denmark Open badminton tournament which will commence on Tuesday.

PV Sindhu has been seeded third in the event; Saina is unseeded here.

Sindhu will be up against USA's Beiwen Zhang, in women's singles opening round.

Whereas Saina will take on Cheung Ngan Yi of Hong Kong.

Men's singles competition

Kidambi Srikanth has been seeded seventh in the tournament. In the opening round, he will face Hans-Kristian Solberg Vittinghus. On the other hand, B Sai Praneeth will take on Huang Yuxiang of China.

Sameer Verma will be up against third seed Shi Yuqi of China. On the other hand, HS Prannoy will be up against sixth seed Son Wan Ho of Korea.

Parupalli Kashyap, Commonwealth Games champion, who asked for Indian government’s help after he lost his passport at Amsterdam on Friday, didn’t mark in the men's singles draw.

Men's Doubles Competition

Opening round: B Sumeeth Reddy and Manu Attri will face Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen.

In the first round of the mixed doubles competition, Ashwini Ponappa and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy will take on Seo Seung Jae and Chae Yujung, from Korea.

Women's Doubles Competition

Ponappa will team up with N Sikki Reddy and play against the American duo of Ariel Lee and Sydney Lee.
