ECDG Rest XI thrash Young Achievers side to lift crown

Hyderabad/Mumbai: Hyderabad’s Emerging Cricketers Development Group (ECDG) Rest XI clinched the title in Junior Category while ECDG President XI stood runners up in Senior Category at the Emerging T20 Cricket Tournament played at Azad Maidan, Mumbai. The tourney was organised by Young Achievers Sports Club, Mumbai.
ECDG Rest XI defeated Young Achievers Combined XI by a huge margin of 118 runs after a resounding start by ECDG Rest XI helped them to wrap up their innings for 221 runs with six wickets in hand in the stipulated 20 over. Three of the batsmen surpassed the half century mark with Abhinav scoring 64, Vijay 75 and Nadeem 54. Rishab scalped two conceding 31 runs to emerge as the pick of the bowlers for Young Achievers.
In reply, Young Achievers Combined XI managed to take their total to 103 before being all out in 19.4 overs. Salman contributed 34 runs while Mukesh with figures of 2 for 17 was the key wicket taker for the winning side.
In the final match of the seniors, Young Achievers Seniors set a 116-run victory target before being all out in18.1 overs. Abbas hit 32 runs and Sachin 15 were the top scorers for the side while Rahil claimed 3 for 13 and Shayal 2 for 6.
ECDG President XI on the other hand were bowled out for 80 in 19.5 overs. Rakhal Bari scored 34, Rahil and Asif hit 11 runs each.
Suraj took 3 wickets for 15 and Abbas claimed 2 by conceding just 5 runs while Rupesh bagged 2 wickets for 10 to hand team a 35-run victory..
