'Sikkolu Simhagarjana' today

Srikakulam: Arrangements are on for Sikkolu Simhagarjana, a public meeting organised by Samaikyandhra Forum to be held here on Saturday. Labourers, farmers, workers, students, employees and intellectuals from all sections are expected to attend, according to Forum president Balaga Prakash. The Forum organised a press meet at the local municipal grounds on Friday, to this effect. The meeting has been organised to forcefully present the united Andhra view point, said Samaikyandhra State unit convenor and student JAC leader Ladugu Govinda Rao. Everyone should be aware of the backwardness of the Andhra region, he said. It is not right to divide the State on the criteria of backwardness, he ascertained. Political leaders and MLAs from all parts of the State are expected to attend the meeting. Especially Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, ministers Sailajanath, Pasupuleti Balaraj, Kondru Muralimohan and other ministers, various political factions and people's organisations will attend, he said. On this occasion, Mr Balaga Prakash said that meeting would be held all over the State to make the people aware on the advantages of staying united and the losses that would result in division of the State. The campaign would end in a public meeting at Hyderabad, he informed. Stating that the State-wide campaign was to prevent sacrifices by common people, he said that problems would have to be solved amicably. Singer Devisri's renditions were entertaining.
