Q1 2015 Trends Report From First Advantage KEY FINDINGS FROM THE REPORT INCLUDE

KEY FINDINGS FROM THE REPORT INCLUDE:


  • The discrepancy trend for the previous four years - 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 illustrates an average of 10 percent discrepancy in the first three years and in 2014 it has risen to 10.5 percent.


  • Case Level Quarterly Discrepancy Analysis for Q1-15 shows that overall discrepancy percentage has further risen to 11.4 percent.


  • In Q1-15, 79 percent of the overall discrepancy cases were Males and the remaining 21 percent were Females.


  • The discrepancy rate in BFSI continues to be high at 40 percent followed by IT sector at 27 percent.


  • The study reveals that the discrepancy percentage is highest in the age bracket => 41 to 50 years at 16.2 percent.


  • Discrepancies related to Employment, Address and Education were at 52.1 percent, 18.4 percent and 4.0 percent respectively. The remaining discrepancies of 25.5 percent, were related to Criminal, Document, Investigation, Database, Reference, etc.


  • In state-wise discrepancies, Karnataka leads at 21 percent followed by Maharashtra at 19 percent, Andhra Pradesh at 11 percent is followed by Tamil Nadu at 8 percent and Uttar Pradesh and New Delhi were at 7 percent each.


  • In Q1-15, as usual 'Incorrect Tenure' topped the graph at 31 percent. It is followed by 'Other False Employment' at 18 percent and 'Exit Formalities Not Completed/Absconding' at 17 percent.


  • Discrepancy rates for Education checks are very high in the Northern zone.


  • A study of Education discrepancies shows Fake Document, by far, forms the biggest chunk at 46 % in Q1-15.
