NEW DELHI: Amazon has launched another variant of its Fire HD 10 tablet. Priced at $289, the all-new 64GB variant is available on Amazon's US website.

Launched in September 2015, Fire HD 10 sports a 10.1-inch IPS display with 1280x800 pixel resolution. The tablet is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM. The device offers microSD card support up to 128GB.


The tablet runs on Fire OS 5 and features a 5MP rear camera and an HD front-facing camera. It supports Wi-Fi and comes with integrated stereo speaker powered by Dolby audio. The company claims that the device can offer 8 hours of battery backup and it can fully charge under 5 hours.

Amazon Fire HD 10 offers features like VoiceView which is powered by the company' s Ivona text-to-speech screen reader and it offers spoken feedback to describe the actions that take place on the display.
The device is available in Black, White and Silver Aluminium colour options.

Recently, there was a report suggesting that Amazon will soon debut its Prime service in India. The service will enable Prime members to enjoy benefits like guaranteed delivery within two days, free delivery of some items with no minimum order size.
In the US, Prime members also enjoy exclusive access to movies and TV shows and books on the company's ebook Kindle.
