Prof Jayashankar’s death anniversary tomorrow
Prof Jayashankar’s Death Anniversary Tomorrow. The Forum for Educationists in Telangana has decided to celebrate the Death Anniversary of Prof Jayashankar that falls on Saturday. The state level meeting was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Sridhar Rao Deshpande.
Hyderabad: The Forum for Educationists in Telangana has decided to celebrate the Death Anniversary of Prof Jayashankar that falls on Saturday. The state level meeting was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Sridhar Rao Deshpande.
Later, Tipparthi Yadaiah, the State Chief Secretary of the Forum, said that the celebrations would be grandly held on Saturday. He said that a National Seminar on the Chances of Good Governance in Telangana, in his memorial was planned at Basheer Bagh Press Club. Further, he said that the seminar will be attended by Amitav Pandey, a retired IAS officer from Delhi, Prof Kodandaram, the TJAC Chairman, and Mallepalli Lakshmaiah, the state convenor of Educationists Forum of Telangana.
It is worth recollecting here that Kothapalli Jayashankar aptly known as Professor Jayashankar was born on August 6, 1934 and breathed his last on June 21, 2011. He was the ideologue of Telangana Movement. He had been fighting for a separate state since 1952. He often stated that unequal distribution of river water was the root cause of separate Telangana movement. He was the former Vice Chancellor of Kakatiya University and an activist in the Separate Telangana Movement.
