Digvijay Singh, Ponnala Take in Hand Cadre at Ibrahimpatnam. Digvijay Singh, the Congress Party in charge of state affairs, on Sunday said that the party will contest in the Medak by-polls of its own.
Hyderabad: Digvijay Singh, the Congress Party in charge of state affairs, on Sunday said that the party will contest in the Medak by-polls of its own. Addressing the cadre in the meeting Diggy gave a call to all the activists and asked them to get prepared for the GHMC elections as well. He sought suggestions and advices from the activists to strengthen the party in the state.
Later, Ponnala Lakshmaiah addressed the cadre and said that the credit of fulfilling the promised go to the Congress Party. He said that the farmers are committing suicides bowing to the pressure created by the drought and said that as many as 140 farmers committed suicide after TRS party has come into power. He also said that under the leadership of Sonia many developments were undertaken by the Congress Party in Telangana. Further, he said that Hyderabad got its name in the world during the Congress Party regime. All the top cadre leaders participated in the meeting.
It is evident that a two day review meeting is being held by the Congress Party to assess the party’s debacle in the recent general elections has just begun. The meeting being chaired by Digvijaya Singh is attended by many leaders of the party. The meeting held at Ibrahimpatnam in Hyderabad will be concluded on Monday.All leaders representing various assembly segments attended the meeting. The leaders will be discussing various things after getting divided into 10 groups, added sources.
