BJP state cadres erupt in joy

Hyderabad: It was euphoria at the state BJP head office in the city as the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Centre clinched victory in Haryana and in Maharashtra. The saffron party emerged as single largest party in the just concluded Assembly elections.

As that news flashed on the television channels that the BJP was ahead of others in two States, party leaders and workers thronged the office and joined the celebrations organised since morning. They were seen exchanging wishes and sweets. Workers burst crackers and also danced to the drum beats.

Telangana state BJP president G Kishan Reddy said the poll results were a tight slap in the face of the tainted Congress government in two States. People of Haryana and Maharashtra realised that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi would only deliver good governance and voted in favour of BJP, he added. Reddy added the BJP would fulfill all the promises made in the election manifesto and move the two States towards the path of development. Another senior leader and MP Bandaru Dattatreya said the poll outcome was the result of Modi’s governance and the BJP’s commitment towards the development of the nation.
