Bhadrachalam: Integrated Tribal Development Agency Project Director D Divya on Saturday instructed officials to prepare proposals on monthly expenditure for providing nutritious food to 40 women and their children under ‘Bala Amrutham' scheme. She asked them to forward the proposals to her.

Divya, along with Additional DM&HO and officials of Women and Child Welfare Department, inspected the Nutritional Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) building on Saturday.

She chatted with women and children at a ward and inspected coolers, oxygen cylinders and other equipment. Divya assured to arrange a colour TV set in NRC. During a visit to the old NRC building, Divya was informed that the building and equipment required repairs. She directed Additional DM&HO Dr Pullaiah to send proposals for repairs, cots and power supply. The PO asked officials to put the building to use as early as possible, and to develop a horticulture garden in the open place.

“Once the repair works at old NRC building are over children from existing NRC would be shifted,” she added. The NRC building would be allocated to the District Medical Office and mobile court. Divya inspected cooking room, dining hall, store room and toilets in the NRC building. She instructed Dr Pullaiah to remove old equipment and useless files.

N Vijaya Kumari and K Hymavathi, auxiliary nurse midwives, requested her to regularise services of eight employees, including five ANMs.

The ITDA PO directed Dr Pullaiah to send proposals for regularising the services of the employees. District Malaria Officer Dr A Rambabu, children’s specialist Dr Vijaya Rao were present.
