BJP govt following diktats of corporates: CPI
CPI State secretary Chada Venkata Reddy on Sunday alleged that the BJP-led NDA government was encouraging communal forces in the country.
Khammam: CPI State secretary Chada Venkata Reddy on Sunday alleged that the BJP-led NDA government was encouraging communal forces in the country.
He also alleged that the Centre was following the diktat of corporate companies. Venkata Reddy said the country faced threat both from communal forces and corporate houses. The CPI State secretary addressed a meeting organised at Rajpath Function Hall here in connection with the State-level conference of the party scheduled to be organised here later. The meeting was presided over by CPI Khammam district secretary Bagam Hemantha Rao.

Venkata Reddy regretted that though governments were changing at the Centre, those in power were adopting the same policies. Modi government was adopting the same economic policies which were earlier implemented by the Congress government. In addition, the BJP was encouraging communal elements in every sector, the CPI leader alleged. He said the nation might face problems in future under the rule of Narendra Modi.
CPI flays TRS govt: Venkata Reddy said the common people believed that their fortunes would change once a separate State of Telangana was formed. However, the policies being pursued by the TRS government did no good to people of the State, he said. He flayed Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for failing to implement the promises made during polls. The TRS government failed to provide clarity on land distribution to Dalits, loan waiver and Kalyana Lakshmi scheme.
The CPI State secretary expressed concern over farmers committing suicide in the State. He said the suicides were taking place like never before in the State. He pointed out that so far 300 farmers had committed suicide. Venkata Reddy urged the government to resolve the problems of contract employees. Measures should be taken to properly utilise the natural resources.
Venkata Reddy expressed happiness over the first State conference of CPI being organised in Khammam, where several people’s movements were launched earlier. He said people of the district always extended support to the Left parties.
State conferences of All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) and people’s associations were earlier held in Khammam. Stating that there had been a significant increase in regional parties in the country.
