According to sources there is good chance that the Military installation in Hyderabad and Secundrabad are to be shifted to nearby Ranga Reddy.
Hyderabad: According to sources there is good chance that the Military installation in Hyderabad and Secundrabad are to be shifted to nearby Ranga Reddy. It seems that Telangana Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao seems to be looking forward to request the defense ministry to shift military installations in Secundrabad Cantonment and other parts of Hyderabad to neighboring Ranga Reddy district.
A proposal to the defense ministry offering land and infrastructure to house a new cantonment at one place as against multiple installations in the heart of Hyderabad will be submitted by the state government.
The government might not be that intresed in shifting of the Hakimpet or Dundigal defense airports, as they are are quite far from the city, but will concentrate more on the core installations and units in the heart of Secundrabad, Mehdipatnam and other areas
