Adilabad: Demanding service roads, residents of Kadthal in Nirmal mandal staged on Monday a ‘rasta roko’, blocking traffic on the national highway. They alleged that 30 villagers were killed in as service roads were not constructed along the highway.
They demanded the National Highway Authority to solve their problems.
A person was killed and another seriously injured in a road accident in the village on Sunday. The protesters urged NHAI to compensate the kin of those killed in road accidents. Villagers relented after Nirmal MRO assured that he would take up the issue with NHAI officials.
