With a view to expediting clearances for industrial projects, the State government introduced ‘The Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self-Certification System, (TS-IPASS) Bill-2014, in the Assembly on Tuesday.

Hyderabad: With a view to expediting clearances for industrial projects, the State government introduced ‘The Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self-Certification System, (TS-IPASS) Bill-2014, in the Assembly on Tuesday.
Ensuring a very investor-friendly environment, the State government proposes to set up Telangana State-wide Investment Facilitation Board (TSWIFT), which will be chaired by the Chief Secretary. Provisional approvals will be given by the board within 15 days of receipt of self-certified applications after a preliminary scrutiny which will be done twice a week. Panchayat Raj and IT Minister KT Rama Rao said the industrial policy to be unveiled in a couple of days would be the best in the country.
In a first of its kind, Right to Single Window Clearance is envisaged to be provided for in the policy for time-bound clearance of projects.
