Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will be undertaking an important tour of national capital shortly to seek Centre's assistance to a few flagship schemes of his government, besides impressing upon the Modi government the need to implement AP Reorganisation Act in letter and spirit.

KCR has decided to kick-off his ambitious Mission Telangana drive to restore tanks and Telangana drinking water grid project at the earliest. Since these projects need massive budget, KCR is pinning hopes on the Centre to lend a helping hand to his initiatives. During his speech in the Assembly, KCR informed about his interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who asked him to meet again with entire details of the project. It is in this backdrop, the Chief Minister is seeking an audience with Modi.

Further, KCR will bring to PM's notice about Mission Telangana programme through which the government set targets to revive a staggering 45,000 water bodies.

Although dates for Rao's visit to New Delhi have not been finalised, party sources said that he would complete these formalities before the end of Winter Session of Parliament which will come to a close on December 23.

Chandrashekar Rao is expected to meet a few Union Ministers regarding power and utilisation of river water row between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, bifurcation of the High Court, expedition of distribution of AIS officers and government employees, clarity regarding institutions in tenth schedule among others.
