G Bhadru NaikWarangal: The Kakatiya University Arts and Science College situated at Subedari in Hanamkonda has been gearing up to conduct special classes to teach advanced English language skills to the college students. The language training programme would commence next week at the college.

A review meeting in this connection was held at the college premises here on Wednesday. The college Principal Prof G Bhadru Naik said that in the light of globalisation mastering English language has become essential for the students of current generation.

Lack of English language skills could prove detrimental to the students to excel in their careers. Hence, learning the language and possessing efficient communication skills would help the students from rural areas to overcome such difficulties.

Employment opportunities of the graduates could be enhanced manifold if they were equipped with English language skills as most of the multinational companies prefer those who could communicate effectively using the language, Prof Bhadru Naik said.

The college vice-principal Prof K Ramanuja Rao opined that continuous and rigorous practice would enable the students to gain command over the language. Besides, boosting the confidence levels of the students, good skills in the language would also lead to success in competitive examinations.

A senior Professor in English, Srinivas Vooradi informed that the special training classes were aimed at preparing the students to face the job interviews and appear for competitive exams in a confident manner. The college placement officer Ramesh Kumar, faculty members V Rajasekhar, G Mallesham, Chandulal, J Satyanarayana and public relations officer R Adi Reddy were present.
