When the entire political spectrum including KCR led by TRS tried to keep Telangana on the back burner, Kodandaram played a stellar role in bringing all the universities under one umbrella and also brought together political parties and NGOs.
During that time many felt that Kodandaram will play an important role in Telangana politics owing to his proximity with KCR. However, he did not enter politics and from then on he became marginalised by wily politicians.
Now even though Kodandaram is giving statements against KCR and his rule, no one is giving importance to him. Politicians know that if Kodandaram is allowed to have a free run, their existence will be threatened and so they have chosen to ignore him. The question is can Kodandaram rise like a phoenix.
