Exhorts State government employees to get good name for government

Hyderabad: Telangana Minister for Information Technology and Panchayat Raj K Taraka Rama Rao on Sunday asked the employees to shun irregularities and corruption as it would have adverse impact on the government. He said the government was committed to address the problems of employees in the State who should be prepared to offer the best services for the uplift of the poor and speedy disbursal of development benefits to the deprived classes.

Participating in a programme organised at Secretariat here, Rama Rao said the government would stand by the employees who would deliver the goods keeping its priorities in view. Appealing them to prepare to offer unrelenting and selfless services, Rama Rao said all issues of employees would be settled in a phased manner. “Our sole motto is welfare of employees and the people,” he said. The employees needed to have patience, should maintain transparency and practice accountability while discharging duties, he said.

The State government would remain employee-friendly and people-friendly, the Minister maintained. “Since the government is new, there are some teething problems which we together can overcome now,” Rama Rao said. He stated that the decks were now cleared for good governance in the wake of the Centre giving its nod for distribution of AIS officers among the two states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. “These are post bifurcation blues which will not last long,” he felt.
