He laid foundation stones for an agriculture polytechnic and hostels for boys and girls at Sardapur in this mandal on Tuesday.

Addressing the meeting, Reddy said the building was being constructed at a cost of Rs 6.10 crore. The college would admit 30 students from next year. He said government had decided to create posts of 4,442 Assistant Agriculture Officers (AAOs). IT Minister K T Rama Rao asked local DSP not to file cases against ABVP activists who protested at the venue demanding fee reimbursement, as they were students of Telangana.

He said the government would ensure that no injustice was caused to Telangana students on fee reimbursement. KTR alleged that the previous government in united AP had kept pending payment of fee reimbursement of Rs 1,500 crore. Chief Minister KCR had recently released Rs 500 crore for fee reimbursement. Karimnagar MP B Vinod Kumar and Armoor MLA Jeevan Reddy were present.
