Pointing out that shopping malls were an indicators of growth and development of any place, KCR insisted on planned expansion of retail outlets. Besides Hyderabad; Warangal and Karimnagar boast of multiplexes and shopping malls. It should come up even in areas like Nizamabad, Khammam, Ramagundam etc., he said. Further, the Chief Minister told them that he would soon convene a meeting with Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) town planning and department officials to take inputs on retail policy. He assured them that retail managements would be given a chance to express their views. Meanwhile, KCR asked them to ensure one-day weekly off to staff working in their stores besides providing safety to women staff working in night shifts.
