Nizamabad: State BJP leader and former Nizamabad MLA Yendala Lakshminarayana on Saturday strongly criticised Chief Minister K Chandrasekar Rao, finging fault with him for repeatedly praising the Nizam, ‘as part of his vote bank politics’. Addressing the BVYM activists’ meeting here, the legislator wondered how far KCR’s praise of the Nizam and his rule was justified, more so in the light of his dictatorial rule suppressing the people, disrobing women and forcibly collecting levies to become one of the wealthiest persons in the world.

‘The Nizam ordered severing of legs of journalist Shoebullah Khan for his anti-establishment stories’, he said. Lakshminarayana wanted KCR to reply to questions like ‘who killed Komaram Bheem’ and why’. ‘Why the Chief Minister visited the Jodeghat’. ‘Who murdered the daring Chakali Ilamma’. He said the Chief Minister should answer why pension was being given to those who fought the ‘Razakars’ and resisted the Nizam’s ‘misdeeds’.

The former MLA pointed out that none would forget the ghastly action of the Nizam killing 84 persons at Bhairanpalli ‘just to test a weapon’. He advised KCR to go back to history to know why the banyan tree there was known as ‘veyyi urila marri (one thousand hangings), while demanding the Chief Minister’s unconditional apology.
