Nalgonda: TRS MLA Vemula Veeresham on Sunday, made it clear that the Congress leaders Jana Reddy, Gutha Sukhender Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy, who kept silence when injustice was meted out to Telangana in getting share from the Nagarjuna Sagar Project during their government, had no moral right to talk about the issue of Nagarjuna Sagar Project (NSP)

Speaking at a media conference, Vemula Veeresham along with the party district president Banda Narender Reddy said that the leaders of Congress and BJP parties were raising a hue and cry over the controversy on water release to right canal from the project.

He pointed out that earlier governments have several times denied water release to left canal, through which irrigation facility provided in Telangana area. There are instances that water was not released to left canal for all the three crop seasons at the cost of interests of the farmers.

Reminding that TRS has took out rally from Kodad to Nagarjuna Sagar Project demanding release of water to left canal as per allocation, the Nakrekal MLA said that instead of cooperating with the TRS government to overcome the hurdles created by Andhra Pradesh government in getting water from Nagarjuna Sagar Project, the Congress and BJP leaders were indulging in mudslinging against the TRS government, he charged.
