Telangana State Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari made it clear that all eligible students in the State would get fee reimbursement from the government. Speaking to newspersons after holding a meeting with group of Ministers and Educational Department officials at Secretariat here on Wednesday, Srihari said the government had decided to continue the fee reimbursement scheme for the students.

Hyderabad: Telangana State Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari made it clear that all eligible students in the State would get fee reimbursement from the government. Speaking to newspersons after holding a meeting with group of Ministers and Educational Department officials at Secretariat here on Wednesday, Srihari said the government had decided to continue the fee reimbursement scheme for the students.

The meeting, which was attended by Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy, Finance Minister Eatala Rajender, Health Medical and Family Welfare Minister C Laxma Reddy, Forest and Environment Minister Jogu Ramanna, discussed the implementation of the scheme in the past.

“Over the years how many students were benefitted with the scheme and what was expenditure incurred was discussed. We have given instructions to officials of Education Department, Social Welfare, Tribal Welfare, Minority Welfare Department, Medical and Health Department, Women Welfare Department to identify the number eligible students for the scheme for the current academic year,” Srihari said. The report would be placed in the Cabinet Sub-Committee meeting scheduled on February 11 for a decision. “We will come to a conclusion in the meeting and it will be presented to the Chief Minister,” the Deputy Chief Minister said.
