Khammam: The aim of the TRS government is to ensure that development spreads to every nook and corner of rural areas, said Minister for Roads and Buildings Tummala Nageswara Rao.

Laying foundation stone for road construction works in Sathupalli and Aswaraopet constituencies with an outlay of Rs 9 crore, the Minister said that development should not be allowed to be concentrated in urban areas only. All villages would be connected by network of roads and it would pave for development of the district.

“Repair works of all the damaged roads in Aswaraopet constituency will also be taken up, besides laying new roads at a cost of Rs 40 crore,” the Minister said, while addressing meetings in Narayanapuram and Sathupalli on Monday. Referring to the implementation of the Aasara scheme, he said no eligible person would deprived of the benefits pension and permanent house. The Chief Minister, K Chandrassekar Rao, was determined in implementing “Mission Kakatiya” and other welfare schemes. The Chief Minister was impressing upon the Central government to allot more funds, he added. The Minister directed the officials to take steps to ensure that there was no drinking water scarcity.
