Adilabad: Officials of the Forest Department seized teakwood worth Rs 4 lakh from two vehicles on the bypass road near Kadthal in Nirmal mandal in the early hours of Tuesday. The forest officials conducted vehicle checking based on specific information that some persons were smuggling teakwood in the vehicles.
During inspection, the officials found that smugglers were transporting teakwood worth Rs 3.7 lakh in a lorry and teakwood worth Rs 30,000 in a car keeping it under paddy bags.
