MRPS attacks TDP pandal at Hanamkonda

The Telangana TDP leader and MLA Erraballi Dayakar Rao said that the Chandrababu meeting will take place at Hanamkonda today, come what may and blamed the TRS government and the police of being silent spectators over the attack.

In the early hours today, the MRPS activists allegedly set afire the dais of the pandal in the Hayagrivachary compound at Hanamkonda decked up by the Telangana TDP unit for the maiden visit of TDP president Chandrababu Naidu. MRPS workers also set fire to scores of flexis and hoardings of the TDP in the district town which had geared up for the first party convention in Telengana since June last.

MRPS activists demanded that the TDP should also pass a resolution in the Assembly as the TRS government had done in Telengana for ABCD categorization of SCs.

Dayakar Rao said today's forum was not the occasion for discussion on ABCD and the party politburo would take note of it. "Already the TDP has agreed in principle for the categorization," he said adding that the MRPS attack indicated a hidden agenda and political motive of vested interests who did not like the TDP popularity in Telengana.
