Mancherial (Adilabad): The Communist Party of India (CPI) State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy alleged that the BJP-led NDA government was extending support to capitalists by inviting foreign direct investments into India. Chada Venkat Reddy participated in the final day of the CPI district convention held at Mandamarri on Tuesday.

Addressing the party workers, the CPI leader came down heavily on Centre and State for adopting anti-people policies. He said that the TRS government had failed to provide better administration to people even after assuming power eight months ago. He lambasted the Union government for bringing amendments to labour laws which are against the interests of the workers.

He gave a call for making ‘Jail Bharo’ programme a grand success which would be taken up soon by the Left parties. Several resolutions were passed on the last day of party district convention. A new committee was elected along with plans to be adopted for expansion of party activities in the district. The CPI leader and former MLA Gunda Mallesh, K Shankar, labour union leader Sitharamaiah and other leaders were present.
