Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday presented Silk clothes and Mutyala Talambralu to Lord Lakshminarsimha Swamy at Yadagirigutta on Friday. KCR along with his wife Shobha was accorded a traditional welcome by temple priests and officials. The Chief Minister’s family participated in special prayer and decoration service offered on the occasion of Kalyanothsavam of the presiding deity.

Later the Chief Minister reveiwed the proposed developmental works of the temple and announced the constitution of Yadagirigutta Area Development Authority (YADA). KCR would be the Chairman of the authority, G Kishan Rao Vice-Chairman and Managing Director. TRS MP B Narasaih Goud of Bhuvanagiri, MLAs of Aleru and Bhuvanagiri constituencies, Principal Secretaries of Municipal Administration, Finance and Endowments Departments, District Collector, Superintendent of Police, District Forest Officer of Nalgonda would be the members.

In addition to this, government would nominate six more members to the Yadagirigutta Development Authority. Meanwhile, the devotees expressed anguish and resentment against their being stopped by the police for two hours during the CM’s visit. The common people who could not get even drinking water at the temple, shouted slogans against the temple authorities. Ministers G Jagadish Reddy, Endowments Minister Indrakaran Reddy and Mahender Reddy, local MLA G Sunitha and officials were present.
