Vikarabad (Ranga Reddy): Panchayat Raj and IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao said on Monday that all political parties would have unanimously elected G Deviprasad, who is the TRS candidate for the Hyderabad-Ranga Reddy-Mahabubnagar Graduates constituency, if they had commitment. Taraka Rama Rao participated in an election meeting at Konda Balakrishna Reddy gardens here to drum up support for Deviprasad. Addressing the gathering, Taraka Rama Rao asked as to why graduates have to favour BJP or Congress over Deviprasad.

He alleged that the BJP and Congress parties were responsible for merging of seven mandals of Khammam district with Andhra Pradesh. He also made the BJP government responsible for delaying the creation of a separate High Court for the Telangana state.

The Minister said that Deviprasad had fought for separate Telangana state for 14 years along with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Describing the newly appointed TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy and working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka as Telangana traitors, he gave a call for electing Deviprasad as MLC for leading Sakala Janula Samme successfully during statehood struggle.
